This was what me and my boyfriend said two days ago:

K: “You know, I told my sister I want to kill my boyfriend”

BF: “Why?”

K: “Because last Friday was Mystagogia, and we’re asked to explain why we chose our baptism name…”

BF: “Who is he?”

K: “Huh? It’s not he, it’s Mystagogia”

BF: ”Ya, who is he?”

K: (realised what is happening and chuckling) “It’s not anybody. It’s M-y-s-t-a-g-o-g-i-a, not M-i-s-t-e-r-a-g-o-g-i-a!” Muahahaha Gotcha!

BF: “Oh….”

K: “You mean you didn’t know what is Mystagogia? It’s the post baptism journey for us, and it’ll end on Pentecost. You don’t know that!!?? Gosh!!!!” (okay, I have to act as knowing as possible, to inflate all my egos at that time hahahah)

A perfect example to illustrate this excellent presuppostion and principle in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) - The map is not the territory!

His map is certainly not my territory at that moment, but it took me two seconds to realise and catch it. In fact, it took lesser than that, when he first asked “Who is he?” I already knew… but well, my playful nature got the better of me so I decided to shoot for a second round before bringing him back onto my territory.

That is why, this second presupposition in NLP is one of the most crucial bit that we can apply in a relationship - You cannot not communicate. Sounds a little weird in it’s phrasing, isn’t it?
