Paradise Wedding @ T3!
Yeah, if you’ve seen the news about this wedding photo competition, I was one of the 3o-odd couples who took part in it!
It all began when a friend casually suggested that I choose Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 as my outdoor venue for my pre-wedding photoshoot. My interest was sparked and I visited the site to find out more about it. Then I came to know about this contest, and I knew I had to be part of this history-making event.
Why? Because T3 held a special meaning for me. And I’m sure for the other two co-founders of my ex-dating agency Two To Tango as well - which we fondly call T3. To further elaborate, Two To Tango came about because we wanted a name that begins with 3 Ts, with our surnames to attribute the cause to.
And, I’m about to marry a man whose surname also starts with T. So that makes us T2! Therefore, where else to begin our very own paradise wedding then T3?
With this in mind, me and Stuart went for it. We had loads of fun, surprisingly so, as we had expected the place to be jam packed with all the couples and that would mean some compromise on the flexibility we might have. But, our worries were rather unfounded, with the sole credit given to our photographer - Eric Er from Attitude.
His unusual antics brought us to the lift, up the counter (I was practically trembling due to fear of heights) and some other unthought of places like the men’s loo. *wink* Wow, T3’s toilet looks cool…
Actually, call it pure coincidence or God’s will, or whatever. Because it looked as if the day of the contest was timed for our outdoor shoot. Originally scheduled on 16 Nov, our photoshoot was postponed to 5 Dec when Stuart fell sick. And again, when the rain poured non-stop on that day, we had to do the outdoor on 14 Dec, the day of the competition. So we took it as part of our outdoor shoot, which was what we had in mind in the first place, contest or not!
Personally, I feel that taking photos is not just about looking good. Of course, we all want to look fabulous. But it’s even more about the feel. That’s why it is my opinion that a pre-wedding shoot is necessary, so that as we march into the full depths of our marriage and we run into some low points, these happy shots will inject some doses of hope and excitement back.
Now that all the photo-taking has come to a completion, we now have to focus on the remaining bits for our wedding. A friend just reminded me we have 19 more days to go. Geesh… that would be the last thing on my mind, as it is now fully occupied with all the things to do that are still unchecked.
Till then friends!
