Easter Sunday: One Year Later, One More Family
It seems like eons ago that I was baptised and formally known as a Catholic. But it was only a year ago that I received the Sacrament of Baptism. If you had read that blog post and still remember, I was baptised together with my sister and dad.
One year later, one more family was washed with the holy water. Well, technically speaking, there could be many other families last night all over Singapore who will receive the Holy Spirit upon them. But I’m referring to people I know.
Congratulations to my best friend Sharon, Andrew and Eugene! And big warm welcome to you all too
It was such a wonderful feeling seeing them receiving the blessings of God, as they did a year ago when they witnessed my baptism.
Sharon had told me that she was hesitant to go for the RCIA, but without knowing why, after seeing me blissfully dunked into the water and coming out sinless (that’s what Catholics believe about baptism - washing away of all our sins!), she was touched by such a beautiful gift God bestow upon us. That night, she made up her mind to go for it with her hubby.
Though I am very tempted to take credit for this, but I’d like even more to think as it was the work of the Holy Spirit, that He has touched her in His own way, and in His own time. That time came last year.
I don’t have many photos to show, as I was busy videoing some footages and taking photos with her camera. These are what I have:

(annointing of the oil for confirmation)
Last night was the first time I stepped foot into the Church of the Risen Christ at Toa Payoh. And they conducted that particular mass in bi-lingual. I had to sing the hymns in Mandarin. Not bad, for a new experience. One more first!
Happy Easter to you all my friends.
May God bless you and your family with good health.
