Michael Phelps - The Underwater Guy’s 3rd Gold Medal
Whoa, you have to watch how he swims, and how he wins.
Michael has just got one more gold medal into his pocket with the 200m freestyle race. Seeing him swim is a joy, really.
He not only displays excellent skills, this guy also has a strategy to boot.
Notably, you should see how fantastic he was underwater. Touch, turn and swoosh - his strong movements of his hips and legs underwater literally brought him on-par with the leading guy on the last leg. And when his head emerged, he’s already there, ahead.
Can you imagine that? When the rest are already fiercely paddling their legs and doing their strokes, Michael just glides under the water and overtakes them? Beautiful I say.
Two more strokes and he left his opponents behind him. Mind you, not milliseconds behind, but far, far behind. The lead he had was awesome.
So, Michael Phelps won again. And he broke the world record, again. This time with a big difference.
He must have some “fishy” genes in him. No, a shark.
And yes, not wanting to be left behind again, he came out tops in the semi-finals for 20m butterfly. He played catch up again on the last 50m. I wonder why he had to push for this, since he didn’t ace the semi-finals for all the previous matches. But well, even if he came out first for this, I’m sure this won’t be his best timing.
I’ll be watching for tomorrow’s final. Wooh!
