Woo Hoo! Our church’s annual Food and Fun Fair 2006 was successfully held yesterday from 8am-3pm! My RCIA group had our own food stall selling chicken wings, corn in a cup, fish balls and sausages, hence the name Chickee Corn Stall. (well, we had planned to name it Chickee Corn Sausages and Balls haha.. but due to the implicit sexy appeal we decided to just settle with Chickee Corn
)
Oh my goodness! I have landed myself in trouble again! Should I come clean with my parents, or should I just let it slip through, praying hard it will pass by unseen and undetected? Well, not all cases will give me this luxury of choice. And when I don’t, yes, facing the music before remedying the mess I’ve created is the only route I can take.
The above example is merely one of a dozen, no, millions of real-life situations that happen every day, every hour in all parts of the world. And they are not restricted to only children. Lovers, bosses and subordinates, friends, so long as you have a certain relationship with someone else, that will be in your face.
What can we tell from a blue-eyed baby, besides being the spokesperson for a certain brand of disposable contact lens in Singapore?
Well, babies are cute, generally. Apart from being monstrous and periodic episodes of wailing, they are mostly pretty adorable. Especially when they laugh and chuckle at your sight, or when they are sleeping so ever sweetly. I’m sure all the mothers in this world will say yes to the latter part of my sentence.

During the last Internet Marketing Subscribers Night on 24 July, while chatting away Andrew commented on my blog. He said recently my posts are getting biblical. I raised my eyebrow in response to that, before asking him to reaffirm what he just said. Very soon though, after hearing my reply, he agreed too that, yes, he didn’t quite complete his sentence.
What he actually mean to tell me is this – I have been making references to life through words of God and the Bible, more frequently.
What I actually replied him is this …

What is love? I chose, out of the many definitions in Dictionary.com, this one that best explains the romantic love in dating affairs:
- A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
Ok guys, not that I am constantly reeling with love, but I was indeed inspired to write about this is by none other than the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. I shall not divulge too much of the plot, as I know you may not have seen it yet. As for those who have enjoyed this, yes, I am going to make reference to the part where Will Turner went all the way to retrieve the key to the chest from David Jones in order to save his bride-to-be Elizabeth.

Oh, yet another post on time. Am I obsessed, or am I truly so time-conscious? Well, I am neither, for I am frequently guilty of running late for appointments in the stretch of 5-15 minutes, and on few rare occassions, I do tend to screw up my schedule so badly that I was almost reduced to a pulp at the end of those days.

Very conveniently, almost brainless to say “I don’t know” to whatever questions thrown in your face which you may not have an immediate answer to. Agree?
The power of words! Because it is so easy to reply “I don’t know”, they do not understand the consequence that by saying this immediately shifts the balance away and put themselves in an unfavourable position, do you realise this? It instantly disempowers you.
More than 15 years ago a male friend once told me one of the first things a woman will notice about a man is his arms. It’s the forearm, the part where it starts at the elbow and ends at the wrist, sometimes even right through to the fingers that he’s talking about – the ‘X’ factor. I pondered over what he said, and of course I asked him what was the reason. Apparently, a woman who ‘scrutinises’a man’s figure do it not because of lust, but rather to do an internal check if this man is strong physically, as it is a sure yet subtle sign of security to them.
