There must be something good in knowing nuts about a movie before watching it. I did this with “The Prestige” and again I just budged into the cinema knowing I’ll be squealing in delight watching cute penguins on the big silver screen with popcorns in my hands. Yay! :D

The show begins with how the Emperor penguins find their love partners and multiply, like “March of the Penguins – The Emperor’s Journey” documented.

What I didn’t know was the big story behind this penguin who looked different. The only penguin who can’t sing a tune wthout threatening to bring down the icebergs has one born talent which no other has – he has a pair of happy feet! He can tap dance! His name is Mumble.

What a clichéd title…. But that’s more to come… full of so much clichés that so it begs belief at times….but whatever they are, they are genuine, they are mine, and the most important is, to me and to most (or all normal) people, that they make one happy and full of life.

The Song - Liting from Singapore 

 

If you were to ask me to name you one song that describes that the love story of my boyfriend (Sheng) and I, I would say that it is Corrinne May’s ‘Save Me’. Not only did it accompany us through the budding stage of our relationship, it seems to tell our story. It is also one of his favourite songs and it never fails to make my heart flutter, even now when I listen to it while I write our story.

Announcement!

The first love stories writing project on that special encounter has ended. I collected a total of seven real life true love stories (last heard may have 2 more! keeping fingers crossed) in all. Well, not exactly a lot, but I do really appreciate each and every one who has come forward to do their bit. 

While they inspire more singles to continue believing in themselves that they will find their soul mate, many have shared how much fun they had while writing the story. And when they showed their other halves for vetting and approving, they began to reminisce on those times and yes, they really in a sense, reconnected.

The “screwed-up” sides of Thanksgiving Day. Well, we are humans after all. So in the light of gratitude, we can do with some humour, can’t we?
