As we get more modernised, there’s no way to avoid being more commercialised as well. Both seems to happen simulataneously. It’s like you can’t do without excessive inflation (in the initial period) when a country’s economy is experiencing exponential growth.
So when it comes to the matters of the heart, merchants wont’t let go of any chance to provide more spaces and rooms for our love birds to declare their undying love for each other, and to have a ultra super romantic celebration on 14 February – in order to make that day memorable, so they claim.

You know, there are two types of people on earth. One – they will eat to survive. Two – they survive to eat.
I guess the title of this post already reveals which category I am in. Ok, let’s dive right in on my favourite food! 13 of them. Woo hoo!

Thursday Thirteen: 13 Foods I Love
1. Japanese cuisine. Everything about it. I can already foresee myself putting on a few kilos if I were to go to Japan for a week. Oh, that fresh sashimi…

Hubby has launched another book, following a best-seller “Secrets of Internet Millionnaires” last year. Excitedly, I joined him in his book launch this morning to give him my support (even though I have to wake up at an ungodly hour).
This time round, he co-wrote the book with an eBay specialist, a guy who absorbs cash from eBay that if, piled together, will easily tower him. This is no mean feat, really, considering how big he is. Let me introduce to you the two authors for the upcoming best-seller “Secrets of eBay Millionnaires” – Stuart Tan and Dr Benjamin Marc Wee. We call him, Ben.
I was watching a Korean drama the other night, and what the father of the wife said struck me. He had noticed how his son-in-law held his daughter’s hands and deduced that the couple must be in love with each other. Very much in love.
On the other side, the couple weren’t aware that such a wonderful thing is taking place between them. Ok, now you must be getting really confused. What happened was, theirs was an arranged marriage. While the lady fell in love with on their first blind date, the guy went into the marriage as he was touched by her happiness and of course, her declaration of love. All these should go well, if not for the fact that he was secretly in love with his childhood friend since, that’s right, childhood.

This post was inspired by a very short, yet provoking conversation I had with Stuart a few days ago. We were talking about our goals, career and financial ones specifically, when I launched into this thought “How do we value one’s contribution if we put the money aside?”
What I meant was, say, if the wife is a full-time homemaker, and the husband is the sole breadwinner, does that automatically make him the champion in the contribution towards the family?
It sure is easy to gauge based on monetary value, because that is highly measurable, unlike the efforts and time that a full-time homemaker puts into the family. But is that all to it to the equation?

Besides the word “Love”, what other words may make or break a relationship? 13 others as I fulfill another episode of Thursday Thirteen. Enjoy! I mean, don’t just enjoy, but do them.

1. Humour - make each other laugh your guts out!
2. Patience - even when your partner could be really up on your nerves.
3. Let it go - if your partner has sincerely apologised for being wrong, why not forgive and let it go?
4. Appreciation and Praises - show it through all ways and means.
5. Flowers - chocolates can be added as a bonus too!

Wow, how can I forget my own blog’s birthday? Now that LOVE, Kloudiia has finished her second year of publication and stepping into her third year, I am reminded of how little I have written in this year compared to the first.
Sorry if you have came to my site and don’t see any new posts for a period of time last year. That was when I was struggling with some personal stuff. Yet, I know there is this pool of loyal and regular readers who didn’t give up in coming back to read and leave down their smoochies. Thanks guys, you really mean a lot to this site, and most importantly, to me.

Guilty as charged for not religiously following through the Thursday Thirteen series every Thursday, I’m going to reveal some bits and pieces of my inner life in this 127th edition of this popular internet meme.
These are the thirteen things that I once loved, still do and totally missed.

1. The sound of flipping a really flimsy writing paper. The type where you can only write on one side as the pencil ink would show on the reverse.
2. Cartoons. Carebears, Alvin and the Chipmunks (yes, I was one of the fans rushing to catch the movie!), Smurfs and E.T
