I am a Ted Wu bride! And Stuart is a Ted Wu groom.

Finally, we found some time to look through the photos and selected some for your viewing pleasure.

I really love Ted’s design for my gown and Stuart’s suit. I’ve always wanted something more unique and fortunately, I already knew what look and feel I’m going after. So after we communicated with Ted, he came up with 3 designs for day and 3 for evening for us to choose.

What is great about Ted Wu’s gowns? Firstly, the workmanship is excellent. The embriodery is so fine and exquisite. All it took were 3 fittings for me to wear the gown with ease and elegance.

I was invited by NCS Portal to do a media review of the movie August Rush. Maybe you haven’t known that I am one of the 5 resident bloggers of this portal since March 2007. Oh, that makes it my first year anniversary with them then! Gosh, time flies really.

You can read about my blog posts here.

And this is what I had to say about this movie:

*** BEGIN OF REVIEW ***

August Rush poster

Call me Tricho Kiia. Never mind that it does not sound as chic as August Rush. For the better of my career, I have decided to change my name anyhow.

I got this email, and though I couldn’t get the animated pictures to accompany this story, nevertheless I felt that this is too good to be missed.

So here you are:

A mouse looked through the crack
in the wall to see the farmer and
his wife open a package.

What food might this contain?’
The mouse wondered -
he was devastated to discover it
was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning:
There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!’

“I’ve decided to stop sharing my knowledge, views and opinions on such mundane things like love and relationship!”

Alright, since 29 February happens only once in every 4 years I’ll make one exception on this day. I’ll be publishing 4 posts to commemorate the fact that I’m alive on this day, and I’m writing.

This will be the first post. And I’m going to announce a change in my blog today!

If that beginning of this post scared you, that’s great! Because it’s intended!

That was only the 1/3 of my announcement. The second part is:

Yes, not anytime later but now. I was having lunch with two of my best friends yesterday when I casually popped this question to one of them “Why don’t you start a blog?”

To which she replied “I’m not good at writing”

Fair enough. God has given us different talents we can use to make this society a better one. But, who says you need to be a first class writer to start a blog? Something that can be as personal as a private journal that only you get to read, or as public as a site that millions throng to to soak in the wisdom or entertainment value it provides – you are the one to decide which type of blog you want to create.

Poll: Why Do Marriages Break Down?

I was reading this article in the newspapers lately and my heart sank with the words. The divorce rate in Singapore has been heading North yet again, and this is no good news.

As much as I know what the reasons are, I’d still like to hear from you what you think the main reason is that could cause a marriage to head for divorce. This poll is about your perception on the rising rate of divorce here.

Please take a second and participate in this poll. Thank you.

That’s what the 44 guys and gals who took part in my poll said! 48% of guys who polled indicated their interests to continue celebrating this day with their loved ones while 32% of gals said yes too.

I know, 44 is really too small a population for us to make any conclusion on our island’s wish on 14 February. But still it is some form of signal that indicates some voices of the public, or at least those of my blog readers.

There you go ladies. You’ll still get your bouquet next year.. :)

I’m Back From Mauritius!

Yes, if you have noticed that there wasn’t any update for the past week here, that’s because my entire mind, body and soul have been absorbed by the beach, sea and my hubby. Haha :)

Me and Stuart were happily enjoying ourselves lapping up the luxurious treatments we get at Club Med Mauritius. We just came back, so expect this space to be filled up again. I’ll be posting a series of my thoughts about this place which has been voted as the most romantic place for honeymoon.

Ok I promise I’ll post up some photos ya!

Till then…

We had our romantic dinner too! Well, rather than using romantic to describe our dinner last night, I thought cosy was a better word to use. But I did have a number of surprises though.

Stuart searched on the internet and found this place called Stone Grill at East Coast Road. Ok, he scored some points by making the effort to do some research!

Wooh, it’s Valentine’s Day again! Special occasions are like bookmarks, where they will act as reminders for us how time flies and what we did, or didn’t do last year.

Having survived V Day (with and without partners), I hope I’m able to complete this list of 13 gifts that I have received till this day.

 13 Valentine’s Day Gifts I Have Received

1. Flowers. The reason why I didn’t put down “Roses” instead is because I received more variety than just the different colours of roses. Now that I write this, I kinda miss the feeling of getting an unexpected surprise when the delivery man comes knocking at your desk and present a bouquet to you. Aww… (but I’d rather not get these hyped up pricey petals now…)
