Happy Valentine’s Day my dear friends! I got this lovely rose from a friend through email, and I thought I’d like to add some words to it and present it as my gift for all of you here!

I wonder if there really is such a rose available for sale how much would that be?
And if it were some exorbitant amount, does that measure how much your love is worth? When “LOVE” is one word that has been debated, analysed, researched and talked about for centuries without any concrete definition, is there any way to measure it?

We were holding hands in the cab, when all of a sudden, the pain overtook me and I had to wriggle my hand off.
The ring that I was wearing on my fourth finger had actually poked into my flesh and caused quite an indent (due to the design), which was the root of the pain that I experienced earlier.
I showed the “indent area” to Stuart and pouted.
Of course, he began to do some form of “healing” for me, in the form of patting my head, hugging me and telling me it’s alright. Ha!

I have been on a TV binge during CNY, or LNY depending on your preference. Oh, I’m quite ashamed to admit this, especially when I had once raved about how being TV free helped me to better spend my time.
If you read that previous post, then you would know what an ardent TV fan I was in my growing up years. So, to re-take up this interest poses no difficulty to me. Not at all. It is easy. Too easy. So I allowed myself to slip into this allurement. Having access to even more entertaining channels via cable TV adds up to my crimes faster.

Two shocking news jolted me. One came when I was watching the news yesterday night and knew
Singaporeans’ beloved orang-utan Ah Meng had passed away due to old age.
Powering up my notebook and about to blog about my story related to Ah Meng, I got another shock. My uncle too passed away yesterday. But he wasn’t that old, yet.
Life really has it’s moments. Maybe my uncle’s family were more prepared for his leaving, as I heard from my sister that he had been hospitalised for some time, though not to our knowledge. I remember him as a very thin and lean man (no, he’s not mean) with moustache. He liked to joke around with us.

Today is the 2nd day of CNY. I hope all of you have had a wonderful time celebrating the most important festive season for Chinese.
If I were to say that the most prominent CNY goodies of all is pineapple tarts, I believe I wouldn’t get any objection. Yesterday all of us were gathered at my mum’s place and we started sampling all the different tarts and comparing the tastes. In fact, this activity had already begun when I was at my in-law’s place for lunch.
Personally, I prefer the ones which has a sour taste of the pineapples and not too sweet.
This was my first CNY reunion dinner with both families after my wedding. So, me and Stuart have decided to be the host instead! Inviting our parents, and some very important people, we chalked up an impressive number of 12 for our CNY reunion dinner!
Less you think I’m KS to have it so early, that’s because dear Stuart will be leaving town on none other than CNY Eve, 6 Feb! Sob sob
So we need to make alternative arrangements, and we made it!
