There is a time for everything.
A time for joy, a time for sorrow;
A time for love, a time for forgiveness;
A time for celebration, a time for reflection;
A time for achievement, a time for preparation;
A time for giving, a time for receiving;
A time for thinking, a time for playing;
A time for learning, a time for erring;
A time for birth, a time for death.
Why is knowing this so important to all of us? Because recently I realised the full meaning and relevance of this concept.

“Taking part in a marathon is not just about running and finishing it within how many minutes. It’s like a goal you set, and you see yourself going towards the goal and getting it. It’s the form of satisfaction, you know?”
I nodded. Yes, I know and I can fully resonate with what my friend has just said.
We were having dinner and he mentioned that he would like to go for a marathon. “You mean the annual Standard Chartered one? I asked. “Yes,” he said.

Something has been bugging my sister for days. She’s still fretting over an issue to which she has no answer for. She wants to know the reason, but she has got no direct way to check with the person in question.
People who have survived from the suicide of a loved one may feel the deep, intense feelings associated with the unexpected death for a long time. It’s not only sadness and regret, but anger also. They desperately want to have the chance to say a final word of goodbye, to find out why their loved one chose to take such a path.
Hi friends, in case you haven’t notice, I’ve put up a new poll: When did you start dating?
Singapore has now modernised to a very wide extent. With it comes a huge difference in values, culture and lifestyle, as compared to older times. Older times not just in my parents’ generation, but also in my generation as compared to those born a decade later.
10 years can mean a lot of difference! So please help me in getting some information about the age when you start dating by voting in this poll now. Thanks!
I’ve never wished I could kick again. I like the way I am now. I enjoy being me. If I could kick, I might not even be world record holder in three events.

The power of focusing on what we want by making use of what we have, rather than focusing on what we lack. How many of us are doing this, actually?
This quote was taken from Pin Xiu’s interview with The Straits Times.

A marriage is the union by law between two consenting adults. It holds many myths and truths, some of which includes that marriage is all about love, marriage is heaven’s destiny, or even a marriage is the beginning of all things sweet and wonderful. Of course, there is a fare share of sayings about how marriage is no longer for life and love will be gone in a matter of time and that spells the end of the union.
Without breaking all the myths or finding out the whole truth, let’s look at the 322 responses who have voted for the one reason they feel is the main culprit that causes a divorce.

Stuart and I just came back from a short trip to the awesomely beautiful Lake Toba at Medan, Indonesia. We were looking around for a nice place to relax and recharge with a reasonable budget, and his colleage recommended this place to us. With a bit of research, I was counting down the days to our departure with great enthusiasm, eagerly anticipating.
The lake didn’t disappoint us. It is so breathtaking that one can just do nothing and simply sit there breathing in the tranquility of the atmosphere, taking in the picturesque view and listening to the sound of waves lapping against the shore.

My sister has become an expert in shoes. My sister has become an expert in medication. My sister has become an expert in skincare.
Jack of all trades and master of all? Well, in those areas, she certainly can call the shots. I’m very sure she would love to be likened to a genius, but well, truth is, she has been bogged down by too many troubles relating to those specific areas that she really has no better way out than to become the expert herself.
It is love at first sight. When WALL.E met EVE. At least for Wall-E, whereas for Eve, it takes a bit of pursuing – from the Earth to space, and back.
If robots falling in love is something new and slightly unbelievable to you, so will be the state of the trash-filled Earth shown in this movie, WALL.E.
I prefer to play the piano and not organ. But I’m not about to say no to organ trading. Then I prefer to say kidney rather than organ trading, because the fierce debate is about kidney and not other organs.
I pored over each and every arguement for and against kidney trading and till date, I have to say that I am more inclined towards a yes, but with conditions attached. I know, this might come slightly overdue. (I drafted this some time back and kept it in, yes the drafts folders till now!)
