    Where Things Are Simpler

I just came back from Muar, a small state in Malaysia. To me, it looks and feels more like a small town in another state, rather than a state itself.

I’ve been to Muar many times since it’s the hometown of my mum, but this trip I felt rather differently, all because of a wedding.

My cousin got married on 27 December. I didn’t get a chance to speak to her, but from her sister whom I’m pretty close to, I got to know that she feels that she’s the most blissful bride on Earth.

All I Want For Christmas Is…

Saw my sister’s msn message that reads:

All I want for Christmas is Love, Peace and Joy.

Hmm… makes me want to start this post on our Christmas wish for 2008!

I’ll start the ball rolling: All I want for Christmas is a home-cooked dinner by none other than my hubby! (He promised to do it, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed now haha :D )

Of course, I’m wishing that everyone, including me, will have love, joy and peace in their lives too!

    Live@Orchard Road

Have you been to Orchard Road lately?

Well, I wasn’t prepared for such a surprise when I chose to walk from Winsland House at Somerset to Scotts Lido. I thought since it’s only a MRT stop away, why not walk there instead of taking the subway? So I walked. No, I wriggled my way there, to be more precise.

    The Art Of Sales

My sister, a friend and I just came out from quite an invigorating and relaxing massage the other day. My sister and I opted for the promotion package of a foot reflexology session plus a back massage while my friend went for the aromatherapy massage.

When we gathered at the counter to pay, the radiance and smiles on our faces showed that all three of us were pretty satisfied and happy with our experience. That was our first time visit to that spa.

    Miracles

Do you believe in miracles? Or have you grown out of the phase when you believed that miracles will happen?

I realise that as we grow up, we let go certain parts of us that link us to our childhood – the innocence, the purity and the audacity to dream and be outrageous. Well, not that all adults are no longer pure or innocent, or that they have grown to be corrupted in thinking, but rather, when we set deeper footprints in the adult world that is filled with many unknowns and challenges that at times can be too big for us, we may slowly lose our sense of simplicity.

What A Christmas Tree Means To Me

A Christmas tree to Kloudiia is like honey to Winnie the Pooh. Yes, show me a blinking sparkling Christmas tree and I’ll fly toward it with a fluttering heart and a big giggle. Maybe it’s the lights, maybe because it’s Christmas, my favourite holiday season, or maybe it’s just so pretty that I simply cannot resist.

So even when we were all dead tired (my sister said she’s already seeing stars after having some liquor, really some) and I was having a headache too, I still had to take a shot with this tree at St Regis.

    A Wedding At St Regis

7 December 2008 was an extremely auspicious day to get married, according to the Chinese Almanac calendar. So, about 11 months after my own, my cousin, who is 1 month younger than me, tied the knot with the man of her dreams too.

Her wedding dinner last night at St. Regis was truly a formal and grand affair. No rowdy scenes of the couple being sabotaged, but plentiful of smiles and blessings from all the guests. The bride was really all smiles that night, and it’s really hard not to be infected by her joy. Same went for the groom as well.

    The Danger Of Options

    Is having options good?

I believe everyone will say yes. Indeed, having options is a luxury. However, if we keep our options open for too long while at the same time opening more, then it can potentially cost us more than we would imagine.

Recently my girl friend had been struggling with making a decision. While it looked good that she had a number of alternatives she could consider, yet, these options that she had kept open for herself took a toll on her.
