Life Tests
Life has been good to me so far. Well, there are certainly ups and downs, but that only makes life more interesting, isn’t it? Without the failures, how would I find success so much sweeter?
(Note: in NLP, we always say “There are no failures, only learning experiences”. So, those periods of downs are just lessons for me in preparation for the big things to come)
Looking back, I realised that life seems to be very smooth and problem-free for me since young till secondary school. Was it because nothing seems worrying enough for me to be worried? Or was it because I have been sheltered from all these troubles by my sister and mother, who took up most of the responsibilities in the family? I believe it is a combination of both, though the latter may be slightly more dominant reason.
Today, I am going through several tests that life has posed for me. They don’t come in one, they come in more than pairs. Some concurrently, some consecutively. I shall not mention what they are, but I guess one of the things that can keep my sanity is, to what I’ve realised, blogging. So, every now and then when I have that window of opportunity time presents, I will write down my thoughts, hoping in some way I may have touched some people’s lives. At the very least, it helps me to blank out for that moment while I construct sentences after sentences on my online journal.
If you have been following through my entries, you would have known by now I like to use daily events as metaphors. Because when these events happen, there will be something in them that I can ponder over, and find relation to issues in life that matter to us.Â
Therefore I blog.
