A Wedding At St Regis
09 Dec 2008
7 December 2008 was an extremely auspicious day to get married, according to the Chinese Almanac calendar. So, about 11 months after my own, my cousin, who is 1 month younger than me, tied the knot with the man of her dreams too.
Her wedding dinner last night at St. Regis was truly a formal and grand affair. No rowdy scenes of the couple being sabotaged, but plentiful of smiles and blessings from all the guests. The bride was really all smiles that night, and it’s really hard not to be infected by her joy. Same went for the groom as well.
Now, all eyes would usually lie expectantly on the bride’s gown, and trust me, on this occasion, she didn’t let anyone down. Gasps were heard as she sashayed down the aisle at the arms of her beloved as she proudly showed off the exquisite and gorgeous design by none other than Ted Wu! Yeah, we used the same wedding gown designer haha
She had 3 gowns made for her, and all were so outstanding that we agreed unanimously that she had to wear all 3 last night.
All been said about the bride, what about the groom? Of course, he looked dashing as well. Very manly, and very charming. We were all of the same opinion that the groom had to be paid equal attention to as well, so that the couple would look fantastic standing together. I only managed to shoot her in her bridal gown and last evening gown. This is the third gown…
Because their banquet was a formal one, my sister and I rushed to get ourselves evening gowns for this special night. Haven’t dressed up for some time, we decided to take some photos too haha! Very vain!
I thought my sister looked fabulous, many thanks to Liren’s magical makeup skills and hairdo! She’s my makeup artist on my wedding day too. She’s good really!
Ok, if you’re itching to see some photos, click here. I’ve uploaded them onto Facebook. (I realised it’s so much easier to just upload them there than to edit and paste them here haha!)
Alright, finally, can’t end off this post without wishing Gladys and Jonathan a most blissful marriage!
