Awe-Inspiring Or Fearsome?
14 Nov 2007
I was awed by the vicious and thick flowing lava emitting out from an erupting volcano. The intensity of the red bloodied looked like it would just eat you up and bury you alive, while melting your bones to ashes with its astonishingly high temperature.
That was how I felt as I sat in front of the TV watching volcanoes on Discovery Channel.
At the same time that I was in awe, I was equally in fear of the power of nature. Look at this. How beautiful…
While this is so frighteningly impressive…

The laws of nature and eco-system is all about striking a balance, or so I understood. At the same time it destroys, it builds.
While an explosion brings potential damage to the surroundings, the scenic views are breathtakingly beautiful even during eruption that tourists don’t mind to brave the danger to take a peek at.

While the emotional stress of living near a volcano is not to be underestimated, the neighbouring land contains super rich nutrients that makes a land fertile for crops.
The nature has taught us how to live our life the way I see it. While we clamour for huge success and can’t wait to savour the taste of it, don’t we also clam up at the thought of really having made it up there?
Have you prepped yourself up to be successful? Are you ready to do all you can to get it?
The fame you gain comes with an equal amount of sacrifice on the part of your privacy. Can you stand being stared out even while having your meal, or do you also enjoy that attention?
The wealth you obtain will start to bring you almost all the things you want, and also things in life that you don’t want.
I think we are always at such a crossroad in our lives. To be or not to be. To go or not to go. To get or not to get.
Whatever it is, we need to remember – we gotta live. And not just living, but living with intention, living with love, and living with a purpose.
