Vice to Virtue #1: Being Silly

Silliness is a virtue. Really. Let me tell you why …

Why is there a need to be sane all the time? Being inane sometimes helps to lighten an otherwise tense atmosphere. By acting stupidly purely for the entertainment value for your selected audience does not mean you are stupid. Quite on the contrary, it could bond your relationship even closer by having the ability to be harebrained and then laugh about it together.

Similarly, making some asinine remarks now and then also have a piquant effect to arouse your humour cells and get them charged up. This helps in bridging some differences over especially sensitive and sticky issues, and allow you to broach on it with a twisted angle that may well turn out to be the perfect win-win solution you have been seeking and racking your brains over for.

Knowing how to be silly at the right time, in the right place and with the right person can indeed create the right effect for couples.

Haven’t you find your girlfriend suddenly became more lovable and cute when she sprouts something ludicrous and you just have this urge to give her a big kiss or a big bear hug while you laugh your head off?

How about looking at your man behaving in a balmy manner (behind closed doors and strictly for your eyes only, of course) which is poles apart from his usual demeanour just to get your attention, make you gleeful and tickled? It is equivalent to having a botox shot into your face making you look 10 years younger instantly with a smooth, lines-free appearance. Best thing is, this is free! While going for regular botox treatments could cost you a bomb.

Being childlike does not mean you are childish. Being silly does not mean you are stupid.

I think I have made enough ‘extenuation’ on my Love Box named Silly Silly Laughs. ;p
