Ok, I have a confession to make. Recently, I went for a makeover photoshoot. I shall not divulge too many details on why and where I had this. It’s suffice to know that yes, i went for it, and I have something to say!

I have “cute” eyes, or that’s the favourite term of expression my sister loves to use to describe my round eyes. Yes, they are round and narrow in terms of its width, so most people will find my eyes are pretty small. But in actual fact, they are not really that small, they just are not wide enough.

So, the make-up artiste had to do something with my “small” eyes. Viola! She whipped out a pair of fake eyelashes. I went “Whoa! First time I’m gonna use this. Wonder how I look with long curling eyelashes!” Though another part of me resisted, because I still prefer my natural look more than a highly beefed-up one yes, yet out of curiousity sake, I allowed her to do whatever she deemed fit.

The next moment I opened my eyes, I almost freaked out at the image staring back at me from the mirror! No no no! The most dreaded thing I like is to be made up into someone who doesn’t look like me at all! And what’s worse is I cannot open my eyes, or well, I can’t open them very naturally. The fake eyelashes made my lids so much heavier, and slightly painful (may be due to my sensitive skin).

Well, I’m sure you would have guessed what’s the next thing I requested. Yes, I politely asked her to remove them for me, please. Wow, imagine the kind of relief I have when they are finally lifted off, and there you go, I have my cute round little eyes which is me, and I can open them, as big as I wish! Well, they still look larger than life, due to the eye make-up, which took me about 10 minutes to get used to and accept, literally.

The lengths women go to make themselves more attractive! Well, physical attraction is very important like I mentioned before, but at the same time, I remembered very well too that I talked about personality. You have to dress to bring out your best personality, so that you can carry the look to its best potential. Only then will you be at your best because you are being natural, you are being you, and this will surely goes to attract the right people for you.

Lastly, I truly admire those women who can wear these fake eyelashes.Or maybe mine wasn’t done too well? It could be the case, but well, bigger eyes means more attractive eyes? I beg to differ, because how attractive a pair of eyes is depends on how much emotion you lend it, and, well, sometimes, size does not matter. At least to me, in this case.
