I didn’t watch the trailers. Neither did I read the book.

So I went to the cinema with a big assumption that it’s a cartoon and I’ll be laughing my head off. Just the right movie to watch in celebration of my blog’s birthday and all the inpouring of emails, subscriptions and smoochies, isn’t it? Welling my eyes with tears was never part of my plan, neither something I expected to happen.

I am talking about the movie “Charlotte’s Web“.

I guess you’ve probably seen it as it’s coming to the end of its showing. I was still pretty worried that I might miss this when I was in Guangzhou. But well, I managed to catch it anyway. Thank God!

There must be something good in knowing nuts about a movie before watching it. I did this with “The Prestige” and again I just budged into the cinema knowing I’ll be squealing in delight watching cute penguins on the big silver screen with popcorns in my hands. Yay! :D

The show begins with how the Emperor penguins find their love partners and multiply, like “March of the Penguins – The Emperor’s Journey” documented.

What I didn’t know was the big story behind this penguin who looked different. The only penguin who can’t sing a tune wthout threatening to bring down the icebergs has one born talent which no other has – he has a pair of happy feet! He can tap dance! His name is Mumble.

Oh, I just finished a heart-wrenching documentary “March of the Penguins – The Emperor’s Journey“.

The way nature works and operates is simply amazing, and awesome. When the time of the year comes, winter, emperor penguins leave the comfort and security of the deep blue ocean where food is abundant and water is just nice enough for them to swim and enjoy.

These penguins will travel to the other end of the world that is safe enough for them to give spring to a new life. During this journey, they are greeted by harsh weather conditions, strong blizzards and freezing gale winds. Yet, they marched on undauntingly with a single goal in mind – that is to achieve the sacred mission of the year.
