What I feel like saying is, it was a meaningful trip for me and a memorable experience to coach in the very first batch of Patterns Of Excellence (POE) in Jakarta.

What makes this experience such a special one is a combination of many factors. Together with a group of Singaporean coaches, we had to work with a bigger bunch of Indonesian coaches. Through the interactions, I noticed some subtle and some glaring differences in our cultures. It was really fun to see how a typical Singaporean coach would resolve an issue versus an Indonesian counterpart.

I am learning, again. Learning has always been an excellent way for me to rejuvenate, as I found out recently how challenging I feel to stimulate my brain cells and concentrate so that I can understand every single bit of information that was thrown my way. At times, those weren’t information - at most bite sized data which I need to mince, taste, integrate before I finally digest it into content that makes full sense to me.

Yet, I am still learning, because until I really apply those new knowledge, they will only be additional information stored in my mental library.

As we get more modernised, there’s no way to avoid being more commercialised as well. Both seems to happen simulataneously. It’s like you can’t do without excessive inflation (in the initial period) when a country’s economy is experiencing exponential growth.

So when it comes to the matters of the heart, merchants wont’t let go of any chance to provide more spaces and rooms for our love birds to declare their undying love for each other, and to have a ultra super romantic celebration on 14 February - in order to make that day memorable, so they claim.

Yes, the Relationship Blueprint Seminar has successfully ended yesterday. As much as I enjoyed myself while I was speaking and sharing the content, the joy was much heightened and intensified when I sat down to read the comments and testimonials the participants gave me.

If there is an icon that can represent you, what would that be?

A star? A heart? A bible? An ear? A candle? A palm? An angel?

Well, these are but some of the various symbols that were drawn on our Mystagogy last night. Another one of the very meaningful sessions conducted by Sister Mel, and also the last.

I remembered we did an exercise in POE to discover your symbol. It can be anything, ranging from an icon, to words, or even a certain sort of feeling that can be used to describe in pictorial form what your mission and purpose in life is.

Is the Universe throwing a message at me, that I have been defying against to listen, to learn and to apply?

Well, apparently my sister will say a resounding yes to my question, for she had laboured on to hammer this concept of respect into my head for almost 30 minutes over the phone.

After a short argument with her (as I too felt that I haven’t been heard for being “disrespectful” as she called it - to which I admitted but wanted to give an explanation for that sort of uncalled for behaviour), we let the matter rest.
