I had our first (strictly speaking from what I can recall, it seems like the first official get together, weddings aside) Swiss reunion last night. Well, since Edmund said what he said, the only thing I can do to fulfill his wish is, yes, to blog about it here! haha

Stuart has brought up many interesting points to my initial post on 10 First Date No-Nos. I shall respond to them with this post-post haha

My first knee-jerk reaction to the comments was - “Hey, these are just general rules, and it sure isn’t a flat out approach that promises to work each and every time.”

Because, we have those serial or rather experienced daters out there who knew better how to turn the tables around and still use it to their favour to impress their dates, just by playing against the rules. (Hint: Stuart seems to be one of those ha!)

It’s easier to be in denial mode, especially to negativity, isn’t it? I mean, who in the world loves hearing criticism about themselves. It’s already hard enough to live by the rules in this world, why do we even need to entertain things that people say about us, especially if they are not related to us in any way, except by sheer acquaintance?

Well, we accept negativity for purely one simple reason - so that we can be better. Sometimes, you may also realise that one solid negativity can actually jolt you so sharp that it brings you back on focus again.

Do you notice that there are many people around us who seem to have this insatiable appetite for learning? Yet at the same time, these people, though not all (whew!) could also be the ones whom, after acquiring all these new knowledge, choose to just sit on it and do nothing to make themselves better.

I have come across some of these people. As much as I respect and even admire them for having the desire to learn more and actually putting them into action (instead of just paying lipservice that they want to learn this learn that), as they chose not to apply the skills or this new awareness to their lives, the respect they earned has very soon found this in its place - disappointment of others in them.

I slept almost whole of yesterday, except for those minutes in between when my phone rang (should have put on vibraiton mode Sheesh!) and my mum forced me to get out of bed for dinner. Wow, what a big satisfaction for me hahaha.. I finally made up for my lost sleep that had snowballed for the past 3 weeks! Yay!

I bet in life, there would be some things that have been adjourned, either by choice, or by circumstances. In my case, it was much more situational than personal preference that caused my serious lack of sleep. I had a chance to make up for it yesterday, but do we always get this possibility to bring back to track what we have lost out on?
