David Duchovny, star of X-Files, checked himself into a rehab centre to get rid of his sex addiction. To me, this shows that the problem is no longer a problem. It has turned into a challenge. You see, it is of my belief that if a person realises where the problem lies and is taking action to work on it, then it is viewed as a challenge. Because we know that when one tackles a challenge, he/she is sure to see results. Usually something that is positive-oriented.
My wallet is getting heavier again. I don’t have thick wads of cash stuffed inside, so don’t you think about stalking me!
The culprits are the shiny gold coins. These $1 coins are puttng on extra grams on my shoulder, since I carry my wallet in my bag that rests on it. They are indeed weighty, in all sense. Literally, and non-literally.
I know some people have this habit. They will refrain from spending their $1 coins so that they can put it into their piggy bank. Did you hear wrongly? No, it’s a piggybank, that’s right - the little animal that taught us the value of saving when we were kids. (Not sure about your generation, but during my time they were all over, and moms taught us that they are our best friends!)
“Wow, you are from Singapore? Singaporeans are very talented! You all can speak so many languages, unlike us,” the contractor said in earnest.
“Ok la, don’t say this. We are so-so only,” I replied humbly.
“Is it? No wor, I know few Singaporeans and they all can speak at least 3 languages ar! English, Mandarin and Hokkien. See, you can speak 4!” He continued to sing our praises. The fourth language he was referring to is Cantonese.
Opposites attract! I think they do, not for the purpose of coming together, but for the purpose of eliminating one another.
They pit against each other. The strong competition vibes fill the ambience, and now it’s a battle of the extremes. Is it white, or black who will win?
White won. Though it was perceived as a weaker colour because it was fairer.
Bearing out these two colours were two wonderful girls in the singing competition One Million Stars 2. Annie, the white, ranked #5 in the finals was up against Alisa, the black, a strong opponent who gave the contestants a rude shock on her first appearance.

I had this conversation with Stuart days ago, and today, I read that Antony Lee, the manager of our Singapore table tennis team had been given the red card. His fault? For not doing his job properly of allocating a coach to Gao Ning when he was playing against Croatia.
Gao Ning, Singapore’s top male paddler lost very badly. He was in tears after the match was over. One can easily empathise with him and understand why he was in such distress.
Though I have never watched him play, but there must be a reason why he is the top male player here. And the fact that he lost such a crushing defeat is telling.
