Free Hugs!

A simple act can cause a wave of reciprocal gestures which in turn can make a huge difference in people’s lives and an impact in history.

I saw this video from a forum. Felt so wonderfully touched and inspired. Take it as an extensive demonstration of my Second Gift for you.

This man is sending us a strong signal. Never ever doubt what you can do as a person for a stranger, your family, or even for the whole of the universe. What started as just a solo act turned out to be a gig involving 10,000 people. I wouldn’t be surprised that other people in different parts of the world will start emulating this to spread more love and affection on the otherwise cool streets.

What can we do today that will make someone’s lives better? This is what I’m wondering too. But the question really is, does it need to be something dramatic? If it doesn’t, then why aren’t we doing it? Why are we racking our brains just to think of the things we can do to make a difference?

Can we be too shy to be nice?

    A simple gesture,

would put a smile on your face and in your hearts.

But the problem with Singapore and most Asian countries is that we don’t have the culture of hugging families and friends…..

Hugging to most asians, is strictly restricted to lovers only.

Exactly DK, though I am seeing a new trend amongst younger Singaporeans where hugging is not restricted to only lovers.

Hey, Patterns of Excellence is one such program where we practically give and receive hugs almost every day of the program! :D
