Today is Shrek’s birthday as this green big-sized ogre celebrates his 8th year old.

Released in 2001, the movie “Shrek” was an instant hit not only in the US, but this ugly-looking creature with the most beautiful and kindest heart ogre captured the hearts of kids and adults internationally.

Look, I’m not the one with the problem, okay? It’s the world that seems to have a problem with *me*! People take one look at me and go Aargh! Help! Run! A big stupid ugly ogre! They judge me before they even know me.

Let’s take this day to remind ourselves not to judge others by how they look, speak or behave before we actually get to know them. Even when we do, who are we to judge others when we are less than perfect ourselves?

This green ogre has more than just kindness. He has wisdom that we can all take a leaf from!
