Happy Year of The Rat!
08 Feb 2008
Today is the 2nd day of CNY. I hope all of you have had a wonderful time celebrating the most important festive season for Chinese.
If I were to say that the most prominent CNY goodies of all is pineapple tarts, I believe I wouldn’t get any objection. Yesterday all of us were gathered at my mum’s place and we started sampling all the different tarts and comparing the tastes. In fact, this activity had already begun when I was at my in-law’s place for lunch.
Personally, I prefer the ones which has a sour taste of the pineapples and not too sweet.
I guess Chinese New Year celebration is all about meeting all your family, relatives and friends for a bout of good gossip, bantering and eating. Lots of TV watching too I must say!
I’d like to wish you all in Mandarin, since it’s CNY, but due to whatever reasons I don’t know, after I upgraded to this version of WordPress, all the Chinese characters are wiped out. In its place are some unrecognised characters from space. Can anyone tell me why is this so, and how can I resume those Chinese text to be displayed as they are?
Anyway, here’s wishing all of you, my dear readers and friend a Prosperous, Happy and Lovely Year of The Rat! May you all enjoy good health, joy and love with your loved ones.
