LOVE, Kloudiia

This was my first CNY reunion dinner with both families after my wedding. So, me and Stuart have decided to be the host instead! Inviting our parents, and some very important people, we chalked up an impressive number of 12 for our CNY reunion dinner!

Less you think I’m KS to have it so early, that’s because dear Stuart will be leaving town on none other than CNY Eve, 6 Feb! Sob sob So we need to make alternative arrangements, and we made it!

Ok, why do I have to make it sound like a great deal to invite 12 people to dinner at home? Cos, if you would do a quick check in my kitchen, you would discover that we have practically nothing much to our name. ( ~ embarrassed ~ ) Even cutleries are very few and in between.

But, we have to make it. And so we did, with the help of our families of course haha I got all the cutleries from my mum, even down to the chopsticks, bowls and saucers, yes I have to admit. Chairs from my sister. Extra table from her as well.

So that’s what we whipped up for last night:

And we had a jolly time! My mum-in-law brought us yusheng, so we had our first lou hei together. I love lou hei, cos it’s part fun and part delicious.  As we scream out all the auspicious words, wishes and blessings for each other, the family ties get bonded one inch closer too amidst all the noise we created.

I guess the only pity was my brother-in-law couldn’t make it due to his very hectic work. Otherwise, it’ll be so wonderful!

And I was so busy and happy running around that I have forgotten to take photos! Except for 3 very rush ones on the food, but after a second look, I decided that they should be left in the closet after all.

Well, I believe that we’ll remember this special dinner for a long long time to come, even if photos aren’t available. At the very least, I still have this post to jolt back my memory! Hmm, the wonders of having a blog.
