My Post-Seminar Thoughts
25 Nov 2007
Not only am I heaving a sign of relief, but also a sign of happiness and peace.
Yes, the Relationship Blueprint Seminar has successfully ended yesterday. As much as I enjoyed myself while I was speaking and sharing the content, the joy was much heightened and intensified when I sat down to read the comments and testimonials the participants gave me.
Here are some extracts:
“Great tools to work on our relationships!”
“Very insightful and relevant information shared…”
“I like the relationship blueprint and the 17 factors the best! I would like to see more of such seminars in future.”
Well, the appreciation certainly gave me and Stuart Tan, my mystery guest speaker, the assurance, but to know that they found the contents very relevant, useful and helpful for their relationships, that, is the most valuable to me.
That’s the precise reason why I am doing what I’m doing, isn’t it? So, to get the affirmation from them is beyond what I can describe here with a measly few words. Therefore, I like to say “Thank You” to all of you, if you are reading this now.
Actually, besides the satisfaction I get from knowing that I could have made some differences in some people’s love lives and relationships, I too have some personal thoughts about this seminar.
If you are willing to hear me out, here is what I have to say…
This is in fact the first time I’m sharing a stage with Stuart. Some of you (especially my regular readers) will know who he is. Yes, he’s my fiance, and the man whom I’m going to marry very soon. (Ooh…
)
Used to watching him perform as I sat among the audience, to speak with him was a totally new and refreshing experience for me. Firstly, I’m thankful that he agreed to lend me his support and be the guest speaker. Secondly, the feeling was pretty good to have him there. I’m sure he felt the same too. So will he be speaking again at the next seminar? We’ll see… *wink*
Before the seminar, I was feeling rather apprehensive. Having postponed this for a few times, due to my poor health and other reasons, I wasn’t really sure if this is going to pull off. At times, I even questioned myself if I really wanted to do this. But, as a coach, when I do challenge my clients to stretch themselves to grow, I have to walk the talk. And I’m proud to say I haven’t let myself down!
Therefore, at the end of the seminar, me, my sister and Stuart went to have a sumptuous and delicious dinner at Thai Express to reward ourselves. Then we happily bought some wine and went home to continue our celebration. Very nice, I thought.
I’d also like to express my thanks to some friends who have lent me their support by helping out with the video and photography. Thank you guys!
Not forgetting the little surprise I got when I bumped into NTT and Farinelli. Well, not really bumped into them, but they, together with a few more guys, were actually sitting across us at a table talking rather loudly (haha) and doing some kind of project, with all their geeky gadgets (I spotted a video camera, web cam, iMac etc etc). None of us recognise each other then.
Until they came to introduce themselves much later as we were setting up to get ready for the seminar. Hi again guys! Nice to see you there! What a nice surprise, and a good way to begin the day there.
That’s all for my personal thoughts!
I will post the photos up later together with the testimonies. If you like to be notified of future events like this, why not register with us so that you will be one of the firsts to know?
Now, I can devote more of my time to finish up the remaining bits for my wedding. Yes, I will be signing off my single status officially on 5 January 2008. One more month left for me to mentally prepare myself to tick “Married” in application forms very soon!
Hmm, what shall I do and where shall I go to celebrate my bachelorette’s night? Any suggestions, my friends?
Zipping off…
