Personal Experiment on Intent

Pete like to say whatever problems we exhibited as a participant in POE, we will get back the same type of participants when we are a coach.

I think it is evident in my blog now. Whichever type of reader I am, I am getting the same back in more folds - inactive, non interactive and refusing to part with my email to subscribe to the blog on post updates.

To energise this inert community I have here, I am going to put out an intent, thereby activating the law of attraction. I am also going to change my way as a reader. I will be much more active to leave comments, and I will subscribe to blogs which I have been visiting on such a regular basis I can’t find any reason to refuse being one of the first to be updated of their posts. It must mean something for me to add them to my favourites, visit at least three times a week and read with joy each time I realised there are new entries.

So why not save myself all the trouble (and time!) of having to go to each one of them just to check if anythng new is available by subscribing so that I will be notified via email?

Therefore, I am putting out this intent:

“I intend to have a very active community where everyone is willing and enthusiastic to share their views so that we can learn and gain more. I intend to have at least 1,000 subscribers by the end of year 2006.”

Wow! Seriously how successful this experiement will turn out is something I am looking very forward to discover. I will post the updates along the way if there are any improvements or changes I see that are significant enough for an entry.

Let’s see what the universe will bring me now as I focus on this intention.

Wish me luck my dear friends and readers. :)

    Hey my dear co-coach

Thanks for your smoochie! That’s a first! Hopefully I’ll have more coming from you, woman of few words ;p

    Hi Kloudiia,

I think it’s empowering that you choose to see this as an opportunity to act from your part rather than a chance to blame others for their inaction :)

One suggestion, maybe it’s due to the browser incompatibility? I always use Firefox and your right sidebar is jumbled up with your left.

Leave a post in the WordPress.org support forums, maybe someone there can help, kind souls have rescued me there before :)

Oh, and I realized the old anti-spam plugin I introduced you isn’t that good, it deterred readers from leaving comments because it made it hard :P

If you’re using the latest edition of WordPress, just use the built-in Akismet spam filter. It’s good, but you’ll have to clear it out once in a while.

    Hey Alvin

Thanks for all your suggestions. Ya I know of the problem with FF, so I”m going to change my template to suit IE and FF users.

Please bear with me while I do this ya ;)

I”m not using the latest WordPress, but maybe I’ll remove the anti-spam thing for the time being.

Lastly, ya I take this as an opportuntiy to be more proactive and see how it goes. If I don’t get any stories I’ll be screwed! haha :D
