Time

Oh, yet another post on time. Am I obsessed, or am I truly so time-conscious? Well, I am neither, for I am frequently guilty of running late for appointments in the stretch of 5-15 minutes, and on few rare occassions, I do tend to screw up my schedule so badly that I was almost reduced to a pulp at the end of those days.
Every human being on earth has got the same number of hours in a day – 24. Your neighbour doesn’t have one extra, neither does you have one less. It’s exactly 24 hours. We choose to utilise these hours in a different fashion, and reaping us different rewards as a result. Yet, it is almost a definite reply to hear this when someone was asked why is a task or errand not done, the project overdue – “I have no time”. Well, many times, it is true. You have no time, I have no time. We all are chasing after the minutes and the seconds, wanting to overtake them by over-achieving what we could have done previously.
But, isn’t it miraculous and interesting to know that no matter how busy or short of time we claim we are, there is always some time out to do something which you really want. Like watching TV programs or DVDÂ for instance, playing computer games, chatting on msn etc. A chore that takes merely 10 seconds to do is deemed to be too time-consuming for you because it is a chore, a job which you detest. It could be taking the trash out, putting something back to the place where you have taken it, replacing a new toilet roll when the old one has run out. But, we somehow manage to find excuses for ourselves that we are too tired, or we are too occupied with work and so it really is very excusable to file for exemption to these tiring chores after a hard day’s work.
Then, you find the same person claiming he’s too tired for anything spending his next hour, or 2 hours, or 3 hours (some to the extent of eating up their precious sleeping time) in the engagement of certain other activity. Of course, the grand reason is - whatever they may be doing is helping them to destress. In actual fact, they are willing to sacrifice any amount of time (to the best of their ability in keeping their eyes open) in doing things that are in their favour and preference.
Is it still a matter of no time? I hardly think so. Because, in my opinion
You will always have (make) time for things you enjoy doing (want to do).
Isn’t it right? Wouldn’t you make time, even if it is only for 1-2 hours to just grab a lunch or dinner with your loved ones if you really have the urge to meet him/her? Wouldn’t you sacrifice your bed time just to stay up and catch the soccer match, even when you knew well enough that you do need the sleep as you may have had a long day already? Wouldn’t you rather laze in bed, or the couch and day dream while leaving the stack of mess in your room just because you have no mood to pack and clean up?
Is it still a matter of no time? In some genuine cases, yes. In most cases, what say you?
P.S I originally wanted to have a comic strip illustration on this, but due to its “complexity”, sorry guys, you just have to read only the text.
