Black is the official colour for mystery. Women in black thus refers to women with that veil of mystery, that not-to-show all sense of evasion.

Why does this turn men on? Because men love challenges. Because men like to win. Because men like to pursue.

Of course, not all men are like this, but generally this is what most men are wired. They like to be the one who can see behind that veil and uncover the real woman. They can smell seduction, and they like such a bait!

What a cliche. But so very true even till this day.

Make your date curious about you. Do not reveal your all on your first few dates. Leave a trail for him to bite and follow.

But do it artfully, meaning playfully. You can be cheeky and dodging by not giving a full and complete answer to his questions. You can also play around with words to give him a I-think-you-know-what-I-mean feeling and yet still not fully satisfying his hunger to learn more.

Every one has got multi-sides to their personality. Your job is not to reveal all the sides, but to unveil them layer by layer as your mutual understanding grows with each date.

Having said this, there is a major difference between keeping some things to yourself versus giving a I-don’t-know-what-you-are-asking blank look and stare each time your date asks you something. This will only bore him out completely in no time, and there goes any chance of a second or third date.

Quick to jump in now in case you’re beginning to have the thought that dating is but a game. This is vastly different from the common notion of “playing hard to get”. It’s merely keeping some bits of yourself under wraps, until such time as is appropriate to let it out.  

Again, this is in no way suggesting you to give dishonest answers or to fabricate lies to get into your date’s good books. Honesty is still a very desirable trait and virtue. It’s about knowing when to give out more and when to nip it in a little.

Be intriguing. Leave some tell-tale signs and let him fantasize about you before getting more answers on the next date. He’ll find you so fascinating that he can’t wait to meet you again. Men can get captivated by women, if only the ladies know how.
