Very good post!!!

You say what to *not* do. I’ll give my opinion on what not to do, but also on what to actually do:

* Don’t engange on intellectual topics (I mean, not on the first date). Don’t talk politics, religions, economics or C++ compilers.

* Don’t nitpick when on a date. Hell, don’t nitpick *ever*. Nitpicking is the worst social trait and immediately reveals unsociability and geekyness.

As a general rule, don’t debate, just amplify energy and connect at an emotional level. Amp up each other’s energy. If you disagree, disagree playfully, like “hey I can’t believe you don’t like Deep Purple as I do! I hate your guts now!”.

If you are half of the time saying “Yeah, me too, isn’t it great when you do XXX and you feel YYY?”, or, alternatively, “No way! You’re crazy! I prefer much more XXX than YYY, I can’t get along with girls that do YYY!”, you’re on the good track.

I’m short on time here. Might add more later. Props again on the post.
