Your Eighth Gift

My eighth gift for you – The Gift Of A Cheerful Disposition.
There’s a quote from James M. Barrie that says this:
Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.
Cheerfulness is a “disease”, because it is infectious. But, due to its unique nature I’m sure many of us would gladly volunteer to be bitten by the cheerful bug. I would.
A cheerful disposition brings so many benefits to us that we really cannot afford to bypass it without implanting into our bodies. If you haven’t got time to discover all the amazing effects this gift has in store, fret not. I have compiled a summary for you.

1. A cheerful person smiles more – they see a reason to smile in all circumstances. In knowledge, in patience, in love. They spread this smile to others and gave them a reason to end their day on a positive note.Â
2. A cheerful person produces more – their cheerfulness is a source of energy and confidence. It drives them to work faster and more efficient. Hence, they are better producers and happier workers.
3. A cheerful person befriends more – they have a livelier social life. Friends are attracted to them like bees to honey. The attraction is almost unstoppable. Wouldn’t you like to have the company of someone who brings you a ray of sunshine each time you hear from him/her? You bet I would. Not only I like to have such a friend, I hope to be the sunshine in my loved one’s lives too.
4. A cheerful person is smarter - because they do not allow their minds to be bogged down by negative and meaningless thoughts. They have strong positive beliefs and convictions that help them overcome challenges with a smile in their heads, hearts and on their faces. Having a cheerful mind helps them to convert that into actions which bring them much better and more satisfying results than their cheerless counterparts.
Everyone knows about this secret to be smarter. What sets a cheerful person apart is he/she truly believes and taps on this mental strength to make positive things happen. They have a good mental habit - determination to stay cheerful regardless what.
5. A cheerful person is healthier – a happier person is a healthier person! You recover from a flu faster if you maintain your high spirits compared to another who sulks and blames the bad oxygen quality all day long. You have a better immune system because of a much lower stress level. Your cheerful disposition will never allow your stress to enter into a danger zone. You have enough bullets to defract that.
6. A cheerful person is lovelier and more lovable - wearing a sincere smile just makes you look so much prettier than the rest who don’t. You just have the urge to love them more because they are just so lovable. They are always looking bright. They shine.
They make more loving partners. Haven’t you secretly wished you could find a girlfriend or boyfriend who will have half of your friend’s partner’s cheerfulness? You cannot possibly get too angry with such cheerfulness vibrating in the air.
They are more forgiving. They have a higher threshold of tolerance and patience. That’s why it’s so hard not to love them.
7. A cheerful person has more success – it shows confidence and control. Someone who can maintain his cheerful composure is telling us indirectly that things are progressing smoothly in their lives, and no problem is big enough to suffocate them. It shows the kind of control they have over themselves. It is a sign of success.
Give someone the gift of a cheerful disposition today. It can be the easiest way to feel good yourself while making your loved ones feel as good, or even bettter.
There is a chinese proverb that says:
Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come.
